Cord Moving Reports Memphis Real Estate Market is Improving

Blog

Keller-Williams Realty of Memphis reported to Cord Moving and Storage that after a two-week hiatus, million-dollar home sales were back on the menu in the Memphis housing market. The most expensive home sale for the week of April 7 was a $2.95 million home in the River Oaks neighborhood in East Memphis. That was followed by home sales of $1.65 million and $945,000, both in the Belle Meade neighborhood in East Memphis.

This was the first week in recent memory where the suburbs were largely unrepresented. Germantown and Collierville only had one home sale each crack the top 10. Even the Wolf River Ranch subdivision in Collierville failed to make the list. Also worth mentioning is that Harbor Town on Mud Island has now charted a top 10 home sale two weeks in a row. This is good news for the Memphis Moving Companies. The  most recent reports from the Memphis Area Realtors Association showed that sales picked up considerably in March, breaking a months-long plateau. Prices have also continued to climb at a steady pace, according to the MAAR data.

The report went on to say Memphis is expected to see  some of the biggest increases in home prices in the country this year which is great news for many business that rely on the real estate market but not as much as the moving industry. Corey Loeffler a nationally recognized relocation consultant from his Cord Moving and Storage offices in Memphis said recently, “this report is consistent on the huge uptick in activity of appointments for those that need a mover whether it is locally, interstate or internationally.”
